Fear Ye Not Me?
"Fear ye not me? saith the Lord : will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it?" (Jeremiah 5:22 KJV). Has America lost its fear for the Lord? As we look around at the new age culture, the new generation of technology, many have no necessity for the Lord. Here in America, we say that we are the land of the free and prosperous and that nothing can stop us. So many things have taken the place of Jesus Christ. There's no more fear of God. It's all about the moment. So many teens run to the next big thing that comes out. They buy up all the apparel they can possibly get, yet they are not satisfied. This is the way the Lord saw Israel, as a foolish people without understanding. Their hearts were consumed by the culture that surrounded them. In time, they strayed away in idolatry. Their hearts were given to the things of this world. Yet amid all this, God has tried and is still trying to get the attention of this generation through the Church. However, if the church sits comfortably in the pews, then what can we expect outside of the walls? We need to arise and cry out. Pray for the laborers of the harvest. We are almost out of time. Praise God. Amen.
