It is written

"But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4 NKJV). God says, "Get up! Get back on your feet and look up for your Redeemer draws near." When Jesus walked in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights without food, He faced the enemy right there at the end of His time in the wilderness. It seems like when we just come out of the victory, the devil's right there waiting to grab a hold of each and everyone of us. See, when we come out of the victory, filled and moved by God and walking in the joy of the Lord, the devil could care less about our victories. He is going to try to get that child of God trapped, tempted, and to make him or her fall into sin.  When Jesus came out of his 40 day fast, the first thing that happened is the devil showed up. Let's think about His fast. He went 40 days and 40 nights without food. He gave himself over to the Father and the angels ministered unto Him. His flesh had no place within Him, but that doesn't matter to the devil. The devil could care less if we fast 40 days and 40 nights or if we pray every day. Many of the great men and women of God have fallen into the tricks of the devil. King David fell as did King Solomon. See, when we come out of the victory, the devil waits like a roaring lion. He has time to wait. He sure has patience. He will sit there until he finds that opening, usually it's with a thought that turns into an action. Jesus did not allow the enemy to get to Him. He recognized that it was the voice of Satan himself, and Jesus came against him with the the Word of God. When we have the Word of God in us and we meditate on it day and night, we will remain in victory just as Jesus did. Get back on your feet and walk to the Lord. God bless you. Amen.
