The name of Jesus
"And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus" (Acts 4:18 KJV). The heathen will never understand why we, as believers, believe in Jesus Christ the Son of God. Yet, if the heathen would stop believing in the world, maybe they too would see the Light of Christ shine down upon them. The Son of God brings such peace to our souls and rest to the worried mind, but He is a threat to many in this world. So much persecution has fallen on Christians in many countries. Many of our fellow believers have been hung, beaten, imprisoned, and killed for their faith in Jesus Christ. The Word of God has power on the world, whether they believe it or not. The Sadducees and members of the Sanhedrin were also threatened by the the name of Jesus Christ. When Peter and John preached Jesus and the resurrection from the dead, the people were vexed and upset, and threw them both into prison. What do we expect? When the Holy Spirit moved through these men, people were healed, made whole, and set free. By the power of God's Word, brought forth under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, many men and women have become threats to governments and nations. You are also a threat to the enemy when you are walking under the authority of God. We can't lose what Christ has given freely at Calvary. Hold on to the faith. Be watchful, and do not let down your guard. Give God Praise. He is worthy. Amen.
