Stay awake.

"And He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and He said to Peter, What! Are you so utterly unable to stay awake  and  keep watch with Me for one hour?" (Matthew 26:40 AMP). Jesus knew His time was up here on earth. The hour of crucifixion was near. So, He and His disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane. This garden was a familiar place to them all, but there was something different about that night that struck the disciples hearts. Jesus asked His disciples to begin to watch and pray, that they enter not into temptation, but their eyes were heavy and they fell asleep. Jesus prayed that night in so much agony that even the sweat from His body became great drops of blood falling to the ground. He knew what He was up against. He could not go through it on His own strength. So, an angel appeared and begin to minister to Him and strengthen Him. Jesus shows us, the church, what we must be doing this last hour. We must be praying! We must be praying with agony for the lost, and praying to see our loved ones come in, to be saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, and sanctified. Today prayer is just as critical as it was in the Garden of Gethsemane. That night His disciples fell asleep; then they ran when Christ was arrested. Today we find many in the church sleeping and not praying. Many run when the anointing falls. It's time we fall on our knees, repent, and began to cry out to Jesus Christ. There's no time to give up, not in this last hour. Watch and pray that you enter not into temptation. God bless you.
