Build up yourself.
"How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost" (Jude 1:18-20 KJV). The Holy Spirit brought power to the apostles to make disciples, and it gave them the ability to teach and raise up ordinary people to become powerful students for the Lord Jesus Christ. There's no limiting the Holy Spirit, for the Holy Spirit has no limits. The Holy Spirit wants to flourish within an individual, bringing knowledge and soundness of mind. The first church was able to come together in oneness of spirit, for it was through the Holy Spirit that they all drew together to pray, break bread, and study. The Holy Spirit wants to do in this last hour what He did many years ago. He wants to fill the Body of Christ with the greatness of God. It's time we, the church, put all of our selfish wants aside, and begin to cry out selflessly unto the Lord, that He would equip us with love and a burden for the lost, in a greater way then we ever have. There's a generation out there today who does not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Many have backed away from the Truth. This generation has tried everything and nothing seems to fit properly in their lives. They want to see Christ, for this is a generation that is visual through television, video games, and the Internet. They need to see things in order to believe. They desperately want to see Christ. I pray in this last hour that we can show them Christ and not ourselves. They may call us fakes or hypocrites, and this might hold true to some extent. However, if we desperately allow the Holy Spirit to move in us deeply, He will bring His power, light, and life, allowing us to see what we may not have seen in our very hearts. We must have the genuineness of Christ living among us. It's a relationship with our Lord and our intimacy with Him that brings growth. Ask God to help today. Allow Him to reflect Himself through you in this dark unbelieving world. "Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life" (vs.21). God bless you. Amen
