Faith

"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also" (James 2:26 KJV). Lord, help me finish this fight, the good fight of faith. Faith kept all the believers in the days of old alive and moving forward under the will of God. Faith in God the Father brought them to a place where they no longer relied on themselves nor their own strength. They kept on searching and seeking in faith for the One whom scripture and prophecy foretold about. The patriarchs of old had nothing other than faith, and faith is what kept them going on in the name of Jesus. They were not moved by the darkness that surrounded them time and time again. They believed in the power of God's great redeeming love. They stood their ground and passed the tests that came each and every day. Their faith in the Lord took them to a place where death could not reach them, for they saw past death and into a life with Christ. One who has faith in God the Father will stick out like a sore thumb among unbelievers. This kind of faith is born in the prayer closet, when one becomes intimate with the Savior. One can only know and come into a relationship with Christ our Lord by faith. Reading and hearing the Word of God brings faith. Faith will bring forth proper works. We all need more faith, especially in this last hour, when the enemy is out to steal, kill, and destroy. Pray for greater faith in the Lord. God bless you. Amen
