Pray without ceasing

"Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit" (1 Thessalonians 5:17-19 KJV). We might fall, but we get back up in the name of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit has been given to us as a guide and comforter through the good and bad times. He is always there. He keeps the man and woman of Christ alive and filled with His fire, ready for the next trial and test to come along. The Holy Spirit also reminds us of the Good News Jesus proclaimed to all humanity. He keeps us close to the remembrance of the blood of Christ that was poured out at Calvary 2,000 years ago, the blood that cleanses and purifies the sinner's heart. Prayer, the time alone with our Lord, is greatly needed in this last hour. Many people waste a lot of time in front of the television set or on the Internet. All the while, the Holy Spirit convicts their hearts and tries to get them to open the Word of God and seek the Good News. We cannot afford to ignore God's great gift, the Holy Spirit, any longer. God has given Him to us to help us pray when we don't know what to pray for and to bring light into this world. God the Father knew that our flesh would be weak and lazy. That is why God gave us the Holy Spirit. He is available to those who desire to do the will of God. He will not leave us helpless. Let us grab a hold of God's great gift and begin to allow Him to move us forward this very day, giving God praise through it all. God bless you. Amen
