Preach Jesus Christ

"And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ" (Acts 5:42 KJV). Mighty signs were done by the hands of the men and women in the first church. Signs and wonders were being performed among the people. Many people came to the Lord. They were drawn by His truth and filled with the Holy Ghost. This upset the magistrate and the Sadducees. They were filled with jealousy and rage. They decided to arrest the apostles and put them in jail. God did not call us to be put in jail, but to be free men and women, preaching the Gospel of Truth. No one can keep a Christian, a born-again believer, behind bars because they are free through the Holy Spirit. The book of Acts says, "But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life" (Acts 5:19-20). This is the call of all who follow Christ. It is the call of the great commission. The call to do what the Lord has called us to do, and that is to proclaim the Good News to all the world. With the Holy Spirit living inside an individual, there is no way that person can stop speaking and preaching Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God brings forth the truth and speaks nothing but the truth, and through the truth there is a power, beyond man's ability, to touch the heart of others. God has birthed His very presence in the faithful believer who desires to be a disciple of our Lord. It's time we see signs and wonders being performed in our homes, churches, streets, schools, workplaces, everywhere, and among every believer. He has called us, and it is our job to proclaim the Good News. God bless you. Amen
