Continued
"These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren" (Acts 1:14 KJV). The disciples followed Christ for three years. After those three years, they kept pursuing the Great Commission, proclaiming the Good News to the whole world. They remembered how Jesus ate with them, how they walked beside Him, slept near Him, and were being built up into His image. Christ Jesus made true ambassadors for the kingdom of God. He built men and women that would be sold out to the Gospel of Christ. Through the storms, the testings, and the trials that they all went through, Jesus taught them how to keep their heads up and how to be men and women of faith. The Lord taught them how to pray, how to seek God the Father, and also how to keep the faith. It takes faith to follow our Lord. It takes faith to step out of the boat and walk on water towards Jesus Christ. It takes more than guts. It takes faith! Jesus is looking for wholehearted laborers, disciples that are willing to do the work He has left us to do. This work does not bring wealth to one's hands, the wealth that comes from the world. It does not make one popular, but it does bring souls to the throneroom of God. It's a call to save souls. Our work is to let them know that there is a savior that died for their very lives. It is a life that is led by the very power of God. This power shows the world the truth and love that Jesus Christ has for them. It's a life without regrets. It is a life that will take you farther than you could ever imagine going. God bless you. Amen
