Overcome the world.

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John 16:33 KJV). Let us begin a new day standing strong in the word of Jesus Christ and abiding in the Word throughout our day. Jesus said there would be tribulation. There would be suffering, affliction, and oppression, but we are not to fear for Christ Jesus has conquered the world. So many times we carry yesterday's problems into today. So many people can get caught up in the past and allow themselves to be oppressed from it and in it. Jesus Christ has given us a way out. Jesus spoke this to His disciples, and He let them know that they would scatter from Him. They would run and hide in fear for their own lives. Today, many are running and hiding from the Truth and allowing the dark past to still rule their lives. Jesus made it clear that He was going home to the Father. He was leaving this world. His mission was complete. Darkness may surround us on all corners of our lives, but despite how it looks, everything is under control. Trust in Jesus and believe in our Lord. In this world we will have tribulation and opposition, but be of good cheer, Christ, our Lord, has overcome the world. Victory is found in Him. He is our Source. Don't let yesterday's issues bind you up today. Run to Christ, who has conquered and defeated every bit of darkness. God bless you. Amen
