He was there alone.
"And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone" (Matthew 14:23 KJV). Seeking solitude was an important priority for Jesus. He made room in His busy schedule to be alone with the Father. Spending time with God in prayer and having a vital relationship with Him equips us to meet life's challenges and struggles. Being alone with the Lord can be a great getaway. So many times we can be surrounded with negativity and the talk of the world; and it can get a little irritating to hear. So, in those moments there's nothing greater then surrounding ourselves with the Lord. He brings peace and rest to one's soul in a powerful way. This life can wear us down everyday. It can be the jobs we work at or the people that surround us at that job. It can be family or even friends that wear us down. This can take a toll on an individual; and it can get very tiresome. However, I have good news for you. The Lord is waiting to comfort, guide, and council our very own hearts at the end of each day. He gives us the grace, His favor, to look past the heaviness and the issues that stand against us. He gives us a heart to pray for those who are in need, those that we might've came across throughout our day. He is our shelter and our refuge, the one who will take our burdens and cares off of us. He's come to see us through, and to guide us and instruct us each and every day. Sometimes it is better to be alone with God then among the many. Give God praise, and allow Him to be there with you in your alone time. God bless you. Amen
